A clear and breezy January morning set the stage for a memorable day as students and teachers from Agios Dometios School visited our Wind Farm. With the weather on our side, we hosted the entire experience outdoors—and what a day it was!

Thanks to the excellent coordination and cooperation of their teachers, everything unfolded smoothly—especially important since the visit took place entirely on-site, right where the action happens.

To truly step into the shoes of wind farm professionals, students and teachers suited up with protective helmets and phosphorescent vests—a fun and memorable way to learn about workplace safety through experience.

Next came our open-air seminar, where students explored the fundamentals of energy production. From traditional and renewable sources to the secrets hidden inside a wind turbine, they gained valuable insights into how wind becomes electricity—and why it matters for the planet’s future.

And nothing brings learning to life like standing beneath the real thing. A walk to the wind turbine crane pad gave students the chance to see these giants up close—a powerful reminder of the scale and potential of clean energy technology.

Midway through the day, a well-deserved break was in order. The Wind Farm team offered snacks and juice to recharge both students and teachers before the final challenge.

The visit wrapped up with a friendly quiz competition, where attentive students impressed us all by answering challenging questions about turbine technology. Prizes in hand, they left with smiles—and perhaps a new passion for science and sustainability.

Every student left with a small gift and a big experience—one we hope stays with them as they grow into the innovators of tomorrow.
